I love this country. I love it with all my heart. I love flying the American flag whenever I can. I have always been proud to be an American. I have my own political opinions. And they are based on many things but I really feel I am guided by my values and the spirit.
But, I am now feeling the weight of the country shifting. It is not good and I am fearful. We need to do something. The best one to lead our country CAN win the election. It is not hopeless as some would make it sound right now.
I just got an email from one of my family members suggesting that we fast and pray on Nov 2nd. We need to specifically pray for the best candidate to win. We can vote and fast and pray. We are Americans, and that is our right and privilege. Where else could we use the right? We have always been encouraged by our church leaders to exercise our right to vote, I don't think it is coincidental that right now they are encouraging us more than ever to exercise that right, so much is at stake for us all.
Please consider fasting and praying for this matter. It concerns each one of us. No matter who we are, where we live, or what our situation may be right now. We are Americans and we should be proud of our freedoms. We should be grateful for what we have compared to other countries, and we should fight to hold on to the things that are dear to us.
Please suggest this to all your friends and families.

Page, you know Im just smiling. It will be ok! I promise! I know how you feel though, honestly, it was exactly how I felt four years ago. We will survive, no matter who wins, I survived EIGHT years. ;) We're not exactly in a great postition now, but we'll survive. I love that you lean on your faith though, because that is so much more powerful than WHO wins a political election. Even if this great nation crumbles, the righteous need not fear. I love you!
